Bluetooth Speaker Tech Tips & Tricks

Portable bluetooth speakers are a great way to keep the party going no matter where you are at. With their compact design, varying sizes, and rechargeable batteries, they are the perfect thing to take with you on the go.

Like all things in life, bluetooth speakers also need care and upkeep.

Here are 5 tips for maintaining and getting the most use out of your bluetooth speaker!

Increase Sound Quality

Have you ever wondered how to make your bluetooth speaker louder? Besides turning the volume all the way up, you can place your bluetooth speaker on the floor for better sound quality. By placing your speaker on the floor, it allows the vibrations to flow easily which allows the sound to be unfiltered and clear.

Fight The Dust

You probably don’t want your bluetooth speaker to look like it has been untouched since the early 2000’s. But that’s not the only reason you should be worried about dust on your bluetooth speakers. Excess dust can lead to damage on your speaker and decrease its performance capabilities. To prevent dust, store your speaker in a protective case when you are not using it. If your speaker does happen to get dusty, use a rag to clean the speaker of any buildup.

Avoid Audio Distortion

Did you know that by placing your wireless bluetooth speaker near a wall it can distort the sound? If you have run into that problem, here is what you can do to change it. Experiment with moving your speaker around. If there is furniture in the room, you must also take that into account. Furniture like couches, beanbags, or big chais can muffle the sound. An empty room will let the vibrations from the speaker bounce all over the place. Move your speaker around the room until it gives you the quality of sound and volume you desire.

Avoid Lagging

Have you ever been on your computer and it’s slower than molasses because too many things are connected to the internet? Bluetooth speakers can be the same way especially if you are streaming from a music service. To increase the quality of the songs, make sure to disconnect any unnecessary devices so your music stream is faster resulting in better quality music.

Stay Away From Direct Sunlight

If you can help it, it’s best to keep your bluetooth speaker out of direct sunlight. Extended sun exposure can cause your speaker to overheat due to its compact design. If you can’t avoid the sun, you can try using a small fan to keep your speaker cool during long periods of use or outdoor heat exposure.

Now that you know a few tips and tricks when it comes to bluetooth speakers, it’s time to put it to use!
